Facebook Integration, Comments

June 14th, 2010

I’m trying to add some more interactivity to the site. I’ve had around 3,000 people visit since I first launched the site, but a very tiny percentage are actually interacting with the site as a whole. The next things I’m planning to add are a commenting system along with Facebook integration. If all goes according to plan, people will be able to create new messages with their Facebook login, and then share it with their friends

Randomness

March 24th, 2010

We’ve limited the amount of randomness you’ll encounter if you are logged in. If you click the random link while you’re logged in, the system will look for answers that you have not rated, and attempt to show you one so that you can rate it. If it fails, it just shows you something completely random.

Another spike

March 24th, 2010

Since the first traffic surge, things have been pretty slow here at ShouldIAskHerOut. Over the past week, though, we’ve had another spike. 1,139 people have visited the site, and that is pretty respectable.

Most of our traffic is coming through StumbleUpon, though a few people are sharing this with their friends on Facebook.

One interesting thing is that while tons of people are visiting the site, not many people are joining and creating messages. If you care to comment, please leave a message below telling us why. We’ve tried to make the registration process pretty painless.

Traffic Surge

January 10th, 2010

Wow. 1,200 visitors in 2 days!

You’ve certainly caught me off guard. I have been trying to get the site ready for people to use, but it isn’t exactly where I wanted it to be before getting an influx of visitors. Not that I’m complaining, mind you. I’m ecstatic that we’ve had so much traffic.

Hopefully this will continue. New features are on tap, as well. I’m working on the ability to create comments for each post. The idea is that this will get people to come back to the site and submit feedback on messages that are created.

This main idea behind the site is a simple one, but I really think that there is a lot of funny stuff that can be created.

Keep checking back; new features should be appearing soon.
